NICA students and staff participated in a Cultural Exchange Study Tour to China, supported by Arts Victoria.

NICA has very strong links to China and recently 16 students and staff participated in NICA’s Cultural Exchange Study Tour supported by Arts Victoria.

It was an opportunity to visit four circus schools with which NICA has forged relationships over its first ten years. NICA students participated in training and were invited to watch performances by the Chinese students whose skills and discipline were astounding.

The group attended festivals in Nanjing and Wuqiao. NICA graduate, Julian Aldag, received a Bronze trophy for his performance in the circus festival held in Wuqiao. The tour ended in Shanghai at the Second International Forum on Circus and Education in China.
