Staff Bio

Mr Rong Lu started his circus training and study with the famous Nanjing acrobatic troupe in 1984. Graduating from his studies in 1992, he joined the troupe as an artist, performing and touring nationally and internationally. His touring highlights included the US and Japan.

Lu has more than 30 years’ experience in the circus industry as an award-winning circus performer. Amongst his achievements, he was awarded the gold medal at China Circus Festival for his spinning plate act in 1996, and the silver medal at the Eastern China District Circus Festival for flying shoulder pole in 1993.

Mr Rong Lu was invited to NICA as a specialised trainer in 2002.He has brought rich experience, specialised skill and a culture element to help the formation of NICA curriculums and development of NICA circus education.

Mr Rong Lu continues to offer circus education and specialised acts for NICA students in Chinese Pole - Shoulder Pole - Cigar Box - Hoop Diving - Basics acrobatic - Russian Swing- Group Hoop Diving - group Chinese pole – Adagio -Juggling .

Mr Rong Lu really enjoys the NICA circus education environment. He will continue to offer his best teaching and circus education to NICA students, and to offer his contribution for the international circus industry development.
